Weekend Worship Opportunities: Sunday at 8:15 and 10:45 AM (September - May) Summer Hours: Sundays at 9:30 AM & Wednesdays at 6:00 PM (Memorial Day -Labor Day) A variety of music and worship styles help us broaden our experience of worship while uniting us as a community of faith around the sharing of Word and Sacrament. With creativity, beauty, ritual, traditional hymns and contemporary songs, we seek to integrate the Word of God into faith and life. The second Sunday of each month is typically accompanied by a contemporary band, and we always celebrate the presence of children in worship (although a well-staffed nursery is available for children under 3). Worship is structured around the Word and the Meal. The proclamation of God's Word includes preaching that believes in the power of Grace to shape life. Holy Communion is also celebrated and shared at every worship service, and is available to all who believe that Jesus Christ is present in the forms of bread and wine for the forgiveness of sin and for a new life for all who receive. Lutheran Church of Peace is wheel-chair accessible and seeks to be a welcoming and inclusive community of faith. |
